Start with the latest update

Before interpreting a reading, check when the data was updated. Car AI shows the vehicle’s latest update: old data may not describe its current condition.

IN PRACTICEHas your car been driven since its last sync? Dashboard values may still reflect the previous state. Check the update time before relying on the displayed range.

Tell fuel and charge apart

On the demo hybrid vehicle, separate cards show remaining fuel and battery charge. Your dashboard depends on your powertrain and the data your vehicle can send.

Put the numbers in a trip’s context

Trip history lets you find a route and its associated information. Open a trip to see its map, distance and duration, depending on what was recorded.

• Find the start and end points on the map.
• Read distance and duration together.
• Compare trips in similar conditions to understand your driving habits.

Ask the assistant a question

Something unclear? Car AI’s assistant supports text and voice conversations to help put information in context. For a confirmed diagnosis or a repair, consult a professional.

• “What does this information on my dashboard mean?”

Example: reading a Golf GTE’s data

The Golf GTE shown in Car AI displays 47% fuel with an estimated 235 km range, plus 51% charge with 15 km electric range. These are separate energy reserves: their percentages cannot be added together. The values illustrate this vehicle at one point in time; they do not predict which data every Golf GTE will provide.
